Only accredited training providers can upload certificates into the system, ensuring the highest quality and trust across the labour market.

Company history and roadmap

2008, The beginning.

The family Pekdemir began a business in the field of occupational health and safety training in The Hague, The Netherlands.

2008 - 2020, Developing a passion for teaching.

Within a timespan of 12 years, together with a team of experienced teachers, the family has trained more than 35,000 people from diverse backgrounds with considerable effort.

2020 Q4, The birth of an idea.

The first ideas regarding transparency of certificate data arose as a result of compliance deficiencies and personnel shortages at a construction site in Amsterdam.

2021 Q1, First product development.

In the first quarter of 2021, the first web accessible certificate database was developed in an open source CMS. This was tested on a small scale with existing customers of the school that was run by the family. Initial reactions were positive. As a result, the first test product continued to be developed in the background alongside existing activities.

2022 Q3, Official start of Certiff B.V.

In October 2022, Certiff was officially listed in the Dutch trade register for the first time.

2023 Q1, The creation of a Supervisory Board.

Andres Medina L.L.M. and Andrew Isaak P.h.D. officially join Certiff as members of the Supervisory Board.

2023 Q4, First two products launched

The first Beta-versions of the Certificate Box and the Jobs platform were launched in December 2023.

2024 Q3, Certiff got ISO 9001 certified

Certiff got certified for the well-known international quality management standard, the ISO 9001.

2024 Q4, Our company has attended the Web Summit 2024

Certiff has attended the Web Summit 2024 in Lisbon, Portugal, as an Alpha Startup.

2025 Q1, Certiff has obtained its ISO 27001 certificate.

Information security is something we care deeply about. Hence, we are commited to keeping up with the highest standards regarding information security.

2025 Q2, Certiff has its first pan-European client.
